It's a race!

Mooresville's town board will have a race in every seat up for election this year.

Eddie Dingler of Main Street filed today to run against incumbent Mitch Abraham for Commissioner of Ward 1.

This comes a day after Billy Hendrix filed to run against incumbent Thurman Houston in Ward 2.

So far, four candidates - Raymond R. Gordner III, Dawn Huston, William H. Washburn III and James Snyder - have filed for the board's at-large seat which is being vacated by Miles Atkins. Atkins and political newcomer Jared Esselman will vie for the mayor's seat.

The four candidates for the at-large seat will force a primary in that race; the primary will be held Oct. 11. The two top vote getters in that election will advance to the Nov. 8 general election.  Filing ends Aug. 12.

Commissioners serve four year terms while the mayor's term is two years.

This a great news Mr. Dingler is a good person and has a very successful business here in town the Shop and Save just out of town on Hwy 115.

His employees know how to treat the customer and they are extremely good at this. When he is elected maybe he can get the town employees to be the same. I am not talking about the ones that you see out working, I am talking about the ones in the office that will never return your calls and when they do if you are lucky they talk down to you. Examples, sanitation planning and zoning and others.

Mr. Dingler me and my family will vote and also talk for you and your campaign. We know that you are going to win. Mr. Abraham has been in too long and all he wants is to brag about the ball fields that are coming here and I doubt that he had nothing or very little to do with them because they are not even in Mooresville they are closer to Troutman.

Thank you for running!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So there is no misunderstanding, Shop and Save is in the town limits so Mr.Dingler lives AND owns a successful business within the town. Good combination with a lifelong resident and small business owner.

My family will also NOT be voting for Mr Abraham. We went to him last year over the major zoning issues in Curtis Pond and he couldn't be bothered.

How does one determine what ward one is in?

Well, Curtis Pond is a tale of wire and internet fraud, cover-ups, and lies. No reporter with the stones to cover it, no Commissioner concerned enough to make any effort to help the 300 families defrauded, no Town Attorney prepared to 'recall' having heard about it (in spite of emails presented to the Town Board, or a Mayor prepared to push to rescind zoning approvals granted to Magland that were based on the lies of a 'former' realtor, documents falsely filed with the county, and the support of what can best be described as a 'misinformed' planning board.

Mooresville Town government only cares about property taxes, not the victims who live unrepresented by Mitch Abraham, unprotected by the Town Attorney and likely lost under Miles Atkins, another Commissioner and mayoral hopeful interested in the status quo. Maybe Mr. Dingler and Jared Esselman are what we need to see a Grand Jury appointed to investigate Curtis Pond: and those who have conspired to ignore it.

What's a Dusenbury?

Look at the Town of Mooresville Minutes. Mitch seconded the motion to approve conditional rezoning of Phase 4. When he was told that the board was lied to, rather than lead the fight to rescind the zoning until the Developer had the lands properly annexed into Curtis Pond, Abraham ignored the homeowners in Phases 2, 3 and 4 when they told him they were defrauded. And now he wants their votes? Insane.

Talk to and make sure all your neighbors are registered to vote and then in November Mr. Abraham will be nothing but a old nightmare that will never happen again'
Then you will have a Commissioner that will listen to you and he will be very accessible because he can always be contacted at his business.

It is great that we have a good reputable business owner who will represent this ward and not a hold over from the Knox era - Mitch is long over due to leave. We in this ward will work hard to help Dingler. We have patronized his store for many years and we know he will be honest in the job of Commissioner.

Anyone have an email address for Mr. Dingler? Mitch has been in business for FAR too long and Mr. Dingler needs all the support we can give him.

Does Mitch even have a job? He takes credit for things he has nothing to do with to make him look good. Eddie Dingler is a fine man, a credit to his community and will be more responsive to the needs of Mooresville than Mitch. Mitch has ridden the Town gravy train long enough. It is time to Ditch Mitch. I will be supporting Mr. Dingler 100%.

Mr. Dingler is a fine man but he should stay awake while attending board meetings. Doesn't look good nodding off in the back of the room.

We should all learn from poor ole Mitch... He shows all of us how an unemployed man can live without an income and serve as town commissioner. And even go on junkets for vacations at the town expense. For example note his recent trip to Cooperstown that WE paid for. Mitch had no reason to go other than to rack up bills for travel and eats. I wish he could listen to the people at Bob's Grill talking about him when he leaves there after getting breakfast in the morning...

With the town board that we have and the way they do things they would put anyone to sleep.A meeting would not last as long if Carney,Herring and Dusenbury would not have to add their two cents into everything that is discussed even though enough had been said already about the subject.
Apparently if you are looking at him that means that one of YOU current commissioners are looking at him and not paying attention to the things that are being discussed.
