Cops for Kids: No New News

It's been almost four months since various investigations were launched into former police chief John Crone's Cops for Kids program. But as of yesterday, there’s “no new news” on any of them.

The N.C. Secretary of State’s Office said on July 8 that it was investigating an inquiry into Cops for Kids’ “charitable solicitation license.” (See http://thegattonreport.blogspot.com/2008/07/nc-secretary-of-state-investigating.html)

According to the Secretary of State’s website, any corporation or entity that solicits charitable contributions must apply for and obtain a license every year. Some organizations are exempt from the license, but it is unclear if Cops for Kids met the exemption requirements.

This week, George Jeter, director of communications with the Secretary of State’s Office, said, “So far, I don’t have anything.”

When asked how long it typically takes for the state to determine if an organization possessed a charitable solicitation license, or if it was exempt from the requirement, Jeter said: “I don’t know what they’re waiting to see. That’s not up to me to say.”

And it appears there’s at least a chance that the public may never know the results of the state’s probe. Sometimes the state just “keeps a watch on it,” said Jeter. And in those cases, “We don’t ever really say, ‘We’re done with that.’”

Meanwhile, Town Attorney Steve Gambill said there’s “nothing new regarding the internal employee investigation” being led by former FBI agent Ken Andrews.

Last month, town staff said that the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation had asked Andrews to stop his interviews of certain people so that the SBI could interview them. Gambill said yesterday that “Mr. Andrews has not resumed his interviews” but that he “will do so once he receives approval from the SBI.”

Gambill said that he has not received any updates from the SBI regarding its investigation into Cops for Kids.

The town’s director of administration and finance, Maia Setzer, said that she had spoken briefly with the SBI agent yesterday but that he “did not indicate what he was working on or a timetable.”

Setzer said the second accounting firm, which the town hired to corroborate the findings of the first forensic audit of Cops for Kids’ financial records, has started its work. But she said she has not been given a timeline on how long it might take for the firm to complete the audit.

Town Manager Steve Husemann said this week that he’s in no hurry to hire a replacement for Crone, who the town fired in August. “I’ve had some conversations about the position, but that is about the extent of it,” said Husemann.

He explained: “I think that Major (Carl) Robbins is doing a good job in an interim capacity, so I (have) not made filling the position a high priority.”

Husemann, who began work here on Sept. 2, added: “As I have more time to observe the department, the community and the personnel involved, it will help me make a better decision about both the process that we need to follow and the person to be selected.”

Crone has filed a grievance over his firing with the Town of Mooresville. But the details are not public record, per state statutes protecting confidential personnel information.

ok...so a drunk guy drives through my yard the other night. My question is why is the police department going to charge me money to view the police report? Shouldn't I get that for free? Just a thought.

Anonymous said...

The cops chased a drunk guy into my yard 10 years ago, he hit my house. I had to sue him in order for the homeowners to pay and guess what? The cops have immunity. You cannot sue th PD according to my attorney even though they damaged the yard. Good luck.
They will drag this thing with Crone out until they think we've forgotten it. I hope he gets charged just like all the other people he took pleasure in ruining their lives. If he conspired to break the law, he should be subject to it.

11:00AM By law thay can only charge the actual cost of reproducing the document.

So, you too think that the US Attorney, State Bureau of Investigation and the Town of Mooresville are all in on a conspiracy to blow over the investigations into Crone? Sorry to disappoint you, but Federal, State and local Government NEVER agree on anything, nevermind conspire to do anything together.

If there is anything of substance in the investigations, they will find it and prosecute. If there is nothing to this but sour grapes from some fired ex police officers, then they won't prosecute.

Thanks for checking Jamie. If Andrews has not been given the go ahead, one could assume the S.B.I. is still conducting their part of the investigation.

Also good to hear that the second audit is in process. It would have been nice for them to have given the public an update. I don't recall any other news from the audit since hearing that they were still working out details with the company that was supposed to conduct it.

The statement about the charitable solicitation license sounds unlikely. If you start a group they have to determine at the onset if you are required to have a CSL or not. Either it was required at the beginning or it wasn't. Either way that should apply to the organization now.

Good to have some kind of update. Thanks.

Jaime great job with updating the public on the Iredell County Government.

Concerning the "Cops for Kids", it does not matter whether he had a license or not, or whether he had a non-profit status, the bottom line is that people designated money to this person who is a Police Chief, and he allegedly "skimmed" funds for personal use.

The people that gave the funds to him gave with an understanding and an agreement between the gift giver and the receiver, and especially the Police Chief, a public servant had a responsibility to the public of integrity of handling these funds.

The fact that the Police Chief received the funds with an understanding verbally, and then the checks act as a contractual agreement, especially with a designation written in the bottom left hand corner. This serves as an agreement or promise, with this, the check serves as a contract that is binding between the two parties, the gift giver and receiver.

People can do and do charitable acts everyday without licenses, or non-profit status. It is called
a gift, but most people give gifts for either a designated purpose which usually is noted on the check, or they give it and just say gift for any personal use.

In this case, it was given for the "Cops for Kids",
but was used for Cops, and not the Kids! namely the Police Chief! (Maybe he still thinks he's a kid)

Concerning the investigation, since when did the SBI have jurisdiction over the FBI?

If I am not mistaken, and in a earlier article, Jaime it was mentioned that the SBI had limits on what they could do in the situation, and this situation involves government corruption, so it needs outside intervention by the FBI.

FBI Agent Ken Andrews keep on interviewing and exposing this corrrupt in the Iredell government.

Start with the Mayor's office, Police Chief, and then walk into the DA's office as well, it all needs to be cleaned up and have new blood with people who care about the community and serving people, and not their own self serving interest or "big buddy club".

SBI is to close the local authorities, and to much familiar relationships between the local Statesville and Mooresville Police. Like attorney's share, the "Conspiracy Theory" where the professionals work togther in a similar environment day in and day out, and emotions can get in the way of an objective investigation.

Now you can understand why the SBI does not want the FBI to investigate. They do not want the accountability. The SBI should welcome it, makes the achieving the result easier.

You should have both the SBI and the FBI investigate, and then you can see if the evidence and information are similar. This insures that the SBI, does it right, with the FBI investigation providing strong accountability for the SBI as well as the rest of the Iredell government.

The police in Iredell County do not like the FBI. They do not like accountability and with my experience, they abuse their badge and authority.

I know it first hand because during an interview one time, one of the Captains of the Mooresville Police Department told me that he worked an investigation one time, and that they framed him, and did him wrong, and he could not stand them.

Hey, who knows maybe he will be the new Police Chief.

Oh yes, I know "you do not throw the baby out with the bath water".

I am pro law enforcement, it is the backbone of our community and society, and without these men and women, officers, we could not enjoy the locomotion of life with liberty, freedom, and safety.

Therefore this blog is not directed to those individuals, but rather to those who are corrupt as this website is exposing.

Let me ask this question,

"How many of you out their reading now, have had a bad or abuse experience with either Statesville Police or Mooresville Police Department"

I want you to write it on this blog, record "your" story on this blog, so Jaime and others can read it.

Thanks Jaime Gatton for all the information.

It is obvious that people love Mooresville area, and rightfully so, a beautiful lake; close to the interstate freeway and Charlotte area; great opportunity for employment, and good schools; great growth potential, and great people who come from the North, East, South, and West to make this their home.

So where did all these corrupt government people come from, "HELL"?

It takes voices to bring change. People who vote for new leadership; sending petitions to the United States Attorney Generals office and Senators with your complaints, and when they get 10,000 letters on their office and the media asking them what they are going to do about it, then they will act on the people's voices; have people write, send e-mails and call up the local and national media, ABC 20/20, NBC Dateline and have them come to town to interview that "rotten" DA like in the Duke LaCross case.

Put some of them on television like they did Crone and they will change or get ousted out.

You bloggers keep on blogging and make your voice heard, and you will get the attention.

How do you think that the Bill of Rights were finally past? Martin Luther King marched with people of all cultures and races and demonstrated with signs, and holding meetings just like you good people did to get Crone out of office.

Keep on doing it and the media will come and it will get the attention of the entire United States which these people who are corrupt will not like.

Darkness hates the light, meaning expose the darkness by letting your voice be heard, and wit the media attention, you bring light to the matter.

Then somebody should run an article in the newspaper or ask people to publish their story
on a website where they were done wrong by the government because of corruption in this Iredell County, and to set up petition stations with a petition asking for the dismissal of Gary Frank, and others who "the people" have determined are involved corruption throughout Mooresville, and Statesville.

Government official are to represent the best interest of the people and guide by the laws of the land, and not with prejudice and corruption, the government is the people.

These officials are not representing people, but their own interest, and obviously it is out of hand, so this is the time for "the people" to let their voice be heard, and purging the old leadership, and replacing it with new.

From the Mayors office, DA, Police Chief, and others or those who "the people" have determine
are corrupt and not equitable.

So make petitions, and set up these stations throughout the county, and then let the people
sign the petitions. When you get 50% or more of the town signing it, then people will listen.

Send these petitions and letters of complaint to Washington DC, the State Attorney Generals office, local government offices, the local media, and national media, ABC,CBS, NBC, CNN, and other cable networks, and believe me one of them will come to Iredell County and do the story.

Then these bullies will be exposed!

Then these people will be "forced" out of office,
and then you can replace them with new young leadership.

For example, If I were going to choose a person to seek out for running for mayor in Mooresville, I would asked Mrs. Cynthia Peabody who is a CPA.

She is an accountant which means she knows how to balance budgets and work on a government level with understanding of numbers and regulations being familiar with government; she started her own business from the bottom, building out a office in the Gateway and it has grown successfully; and she likes people, helping people. This is a person who would serve the community of Mooresville, and these are the "public servants"
that are needed to make it an "equitable community" for all to live and enjoy life.

Maybe you know someone who would be a good candidate, and then seek them out and ask them to run.

My good friend who is a United States Marine and was President Carter's presidential pilot said this about the election of Jimmy Carter.

Jimmy Carter never ever planned to run for Presidential office, but the candidates were not representing the public interest of the people.

So one day, he decided "if" I were to run for President what would I do "for the people", what ten things would I do for the people of the United States to make it a better land to live.

He wrote those ten things down, and then decide to share them during a public speech and had a great response and backing of the people.

He then threw his hat into the race, and he began to build momentum by the people. Those who lived during this time remember that he was not the favorite at this time by the Democratic party or machine, but when convention time came he had so many people who had rallied behind him, that they could not ignore him and he was their candidate.

His life has represented "the helping of people" no matter what party belief, or cultural background, he represented people.

These are the people that you need in office in Iredell County, not corruption, but individuals who will listen and represent people and usher in positive and equitable change, representing the voices of people because it is these people who represent the town of Mooresville, and are the government.

People are the government, and only people can defeat corruption.

It is your town, not their town, and if they held dear their representation of people, they would make people feel important thru just and humble service, because the greatest leader is a servant, and this is what a government servants are carry out their life, serving the needs of people to form a more perfect union and community and to guide equitably with the laws made by and for "thee people".

I close with this quote; The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. --- Edmund Burke

Speaking of our police, my wife and I were on our way to a doctor's appointment on Tuesday via the hospital road, just off exit 33. I took a left at the church, only to find out they had blocked the road to the doctor's offices. When I went to turn around in the church parking lot, lo and behold, one of mooresville's finest was nestled under some trees, looking like he was on an "extended break". There was no way the officer was doing anything else but loafing, and it was impossible for him to be scoping traffic. Shall we give him the benefit of doubt that he was not hidding????? When one calls the police, many times it takes them between 30-40 min to get to our home. We are told by dispatch that one officer has alot of territory to cover ????, I'm sure if one calls 911 it must be asap. Hopefully, the officer will read this, and remember what he was hired to do. I took his vehicle number, with no signs of him being concerned.. The time was around eleven am. This kind of situation does not help all the excellent police we have here in Mooresvile. I wasn't going to print this, but instead of calling in to that ares captain, I hope the officer will take heed.

First the SBI has no jurisdiction over the FBI.

The SBI has original jurisdiction over public corruption in NC. Mr. Andrews is a retired FBI agent and in reality a private citizen.

When all of this started, somebody on this blog exposed the apparent friendship between John Crone and Robin Pendergaft (Director of NC SBI). Now we hear that the town's internal investigation is stalled very conveniently by the fact that the SBI is stonewalling. So in essence we are getting the royal runaround. The solution? Go back to what we do have control over, which is our elected officials. It is their responsibility and their duty to insure the audit is completed "expeditiously" (as the mayor promised in early July but has yet to deliver), to insure the evidence room inventory was thorough and had integrity, and to insure their internal investigation is completed. Then, it is their duty and responsibility to immediately release all of that information to the public. We may have no control over how corrupt other agencies are, but we do have control over who we have in office in Mooresville.

Jaime, you're racing toward 200,000 hits on your blog. I can't believe you started this think just in March! You are the woman! Nothing's even going to be the same in this town.

First to the blogger who wrote......

Trival..Trival... I bet you people would bitch if your balls were in a vice. Be glad you have a great PD..Whats a dollar for a copy of a police report?

Bottomline, if you read the information printed by the journalist, there is corruption, and police officers are public officials, who are paid by your money as well as the other gentleman who voiced his complaint. He has that right as you do, the difference is you deflected the issues being discussed in this column and choose to attack with vulgarity.

Secondly, the man who complained about the police officer hiding under a tree, fill out a written report, and everybody in that town needs to watch every police man, and if he steps out of line or mistreats you, then file a public grievance and law suit. The city government gets enough complaints, they will address them. The media will.

Thirdly for the response about the SBI, Jaime mentioned it has limits on the things that can be done, but regardless, the SBI has no Jurisdiction over the FBI, and if government corruption is involved, they will step in an investigate, and in this situation, this town is out of hand, and hopefully they will step in an correct it.

How do you think that the government of Alabama was corrected in Tuscaloosa when they were not going to allow a African American student attend the school. Local government as well as state government were going to stop her, and the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT STEPPED IN AND SHE WENT TO SCHOOL.

Yes, SBI has jurisdiction, but if you read the article, the SBI "asked" the FBI to let them investigate first. They have no jurisdiction rights for deciding whether they investigate or not, if the FBI decides to come into the investigate, they can take over jurisdiction rights and can take over the investigation and case, if they chose to do so.

Bottomline, good comments, but you missed the entire point. Jaime mentioned that the SBI was limited in the situation, his words, and also it involves familiar relationships within a network of people who work together where familiarity would effect the integrity of the investigation. This was the point of the above blogger.

SBI is investigating people that they have worked with on cases; live in the area; and who knows, have children who attend school together, go to church as families together.

Again, let SBI do their investigation, but have the FBI investigate, making them accountable to do the job correctly.

Concerning the Agent investigation, it was mentioned in one of the earlier articles, so the recorder of this information may be incorrect.
I guess that I could call and see if there is such an agent now working in the Charlotte area.

People who are in Mooresville need to share with others about this
website, this is your time to voice your opinion and bring change.

There are good public-government officials, and this website is not directed to the good, but rather the "corruption" and the only way it will be exposed is by your voice.

People sound off!

If you have had a prior experience that you feel you were discriminated against, or there was corruption involved against you and you suffered from it, voice it now!

Write your comments about your experience.

I share the words from the above blog,

People in Iredell County, you have a voice!

Anonymous said...

This town Mooresville has a good people, and great community, but the DA, personnel in their police department, and government in Iredell County are the most corrupt organizations.

It was on the news, and published in the Mooresville Tribune where a local physician was arrested when he was falsely accused of sexual harassment by an employee.

The woman who falsely accused him also had a sister who worked
in the same practice. She was interviewed by a Mooresville Police detective (who no longer is on the force) and was given information to exonerate the doctor, but they still charged and arrested him.

The information that was shared with the officer during the interview by the false accuser’s sister was that her sister said that she was going to “set him up”. She further stated that her sister would bring in a note pad and told her she was going to record information and did so daily.

She additionally shared that her sister, the false accuser, had shared this with her several days prior to making the false accusation and complaint against the doctor.

Again, it was made very clear to the officer that her sister making the complaint was making up the story and lying, therefore, setting up this doctor.

The detective investigating the case shared, oh yes, I know this doctor, he and his wife and children were very good friends with my wife, and I and his children were in my wedding, but when we got divorced, he and his wife avoided us or did not speak to me, but don't worry, I will not let this get in the way of my case.

The Police Chief Crones, knew about this case, and prior to the investigation told the detective you better have strong evidence before you go charging a doctor who has been in this town for 18 years and a good citizen.

This was told to the doctor that the Chief shared this story and then the detective moved forward with the investigation of the complaint by the employee.

Now my question is with the information given by the sister, Chief over the case and the detective knowing this information shared by a family, member, and this person a model citizen, why was the doctor charged?

Good question? Right?

Another question, what about the detectives statement to the witness? Why was the detective even investigating the case if this person had a prior relationship with this doctor, and obviously
hard feelings that affected his objectivity?

(Then someone in earlier blogs questions how familiarity can affect a case in relation to the on going investigation by the SBI and FBI. This story is a great example)

The great Mooresville Police arrested this doctor, and he was charged. He was asked to surrender, and then it was made “public” in the news and Charlotte television station and needless to say this ruined him.

It hurt his family, and children; his children were placed in a position of great humiliation as well as the entire family; he lost 50% of his patient practice with people mocking and saying nasty which were very hurtful; it hurt the doctor with their colleagues; and was ruined.

Why? Because of corruption! The same Police Chief, the DA's, and
Mooresville Police detective did not do their job!

This doctor pleaded with the DA, and they did not listen and pressed for the court date, even after having this information in their hands. This is corruption.

With the response of the Police Chief mentioned earlier, and then information given to the detective by the false accusers sister who worked with her, this doctor should have never been charged!

Question? Why did they charge him, and what changed the Police Chief’s mind in the case? Crone’s I know that you remember!!!

Jaime, go asked Crone’s yourself? He will remember the case and
will the DA!

Now readers you want to hear how the man was exonerate?

The doctor was a model citizen and friend to many, and is a devoted Christian and the doctor begged the DA to reconsider the evidence and the testimony of the sister who testified against her own sister that she was lying and setting up the doctor, but they would not listen.

So the doctor begged and prayed for the Lord to please bring forth information and expose this woman, and guess what, the day before the trial, a man called the doctor's office and shared that he heard what was happening to him, and "that he was getting railroaded" (RAILROADED IN MOORESVILLE?)

The patient then told the doctor that this employee called him after his leaving the his appointment in the office, and wanted to come by his house after he left his office one day for his appointment have sex.

How could the DA refuse this information!

The patient offered up a deposition, and was given to an attorney as well as the DA, they had to drop the charges.

My question is why didn’t the DA file charges against the woman?
They had the evidence of her sister’s testimony against her, and then this information placed into their hands that she was lying, but they did not go after this woman?

Why? If this is just like the Duke Lacrosse case ?!?
The Iredell Government was clearly in the wrong, and should have been sued for their actions against the doctor and their lack of action in charging the woman who was lying and file false charges against the doctor.
If I am not mistaken, I do think that there was a violation of law for a person who knowingly lies and files a false complaint against a person accusing them of committing a crime.

Good question for the DA?

I bet if the Police Chief, the DA, the detective, and the falsely accused physician were all on Greta Van Sustren’s show, that they would have a difficult time explaining this one?

It was mishandled and not by ignorance by the Chief of Police, detective and DA and was done intentionally by this woman.

The charges should have never been made, and there should have been charges against the false accuser.

This same government is who you are responding about in your blogs, and this same Police Chief is the one you write about along with the DA.

Inequitable leadership! Corruption!

I hope that the Iredell County people keep sounding off, write petitions as mentioned at various stations; write to the United States Attorney General’s office; NC State Attorney’s office; TV and cable stations, and this blog!

Voting is important, but It takes more than just voting.
It is about exposing what is already in place.

I hope that others will share their experiences.

Thanks Jaime!

Are we talking about the former Dr. Brittain here? he prescribed meds to people for weight loss which wound up causing heart problems for many but none could sue the drug companies. His dautgher took it upon herself to destrot the records of patients before many knew he was closing up shop. the records weren't made available to patients.

Anonymous said...

No, it was not Dr. Brittain.

Police Chief and DA know the doctor.
Call their office and asked them.

Jaime there is a story for you! Do the story!

Anonymous said...

I remember the story.

The doctor mentioned who was "falsely accused" is a "good citizen
of Mooresville" and "a devout Christian".

One time this same physician was on a missionary trip one time to China, and on the return flight and in the middle of the flight, this doctor went to the aide of an airline employee and saved them from
a life threatening episode.

Iredell County government, Police Chief, DA, and Police needs to focus on the corruption problem!

Oh I forgot, they are part of the problem!

You are right the SBI is to close to investigate, need an outside agency. It is not about jurisdiction.
Where is the FBI, not the SBI?

Jaime, I hope that you keep investigating and writing your reports, so that "we the people", the readers can stay informed.

Anonymous said...

The SBI does not have the legal right to willy nilly tell Ken Andrews to stop his interviews in the Cops For Kids matter. It is his responsibility as an investigator and former FBI agent to insure that they continue an active investigation, and in the absence of one, it is then his responsibility to report the SBI's negligence, as their inaction would constitute a higher form of obstruction of justice. This is a trickle down effect of accountability. If in turn Ken Andrews fails to be vigilant, then the town board must release him from his duties and procure an investigator with either more integrity or more jutspa. If in turn the town board fails to replace him despite his refusal to be vigilant in this investigation, then we the people must then remain vigilant and replace them. This is very serious business. We are talking about allegations that a former police chief defrauded the public. If such people are not held accountable, then there is nothing to discourage others from behaving in such a manner.

Anonymous said...

If this Police Chief not only defrauded the public, what about the doctor mentioned in the above blogs, and I would venture to say that many others have been done "wrong" or have a similar story.

You are right, Mooresville township of people and the community need to stand up, make their voice heard, this is the window for change across the board in all seats of government.

"IMPEACHMENT" Mayor, DA, Police Chief, DA, and bad police officers.

Anonymous said...

IMPEACHMENT....

IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE...

Yes, from the Mayors office, DA, Police Chief, and others or those who "the people" have determine are corrupt.

I think that Jaime you should team up with Molly Grantham in Charlotte and bring the story to a fully covered investigation for TV or go to New York City and see someone with ABC, NBC, CNN, or FOX and expose them.

Bill O'Reilly would have a "hay day" with these "Crone ies". *laugh!

People need to keep going to town meetings and voice their opinions

Set up petition stations throughout the county and have people sign it for the change they desire.

Sign petitions for impeachment of these officials, and then all these to Washington DC to the United States Attorney General's office; the governors office; the NC State Attorney Generals Office; local government, and then to the media in Charlotte, as well as New York City, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and FOX.

Hold demonstration and march on the town like Martin Luther King Jr. Get Reverend Greene to lead it! Mooresville is trying to grow and bring in new corporations, and they can not afford the "bad press". You have enough people come march downtown, the media will come, other people in the community will hear and come and join in as well.

This is the community bring public disclosure to the matters.

Did not Martin Luther King Jr. do the same thing during his peaceful Marches. And with these peaceful marches, the media came, other were involved and it kept building and brought attention to the corruption from the media, and then corrupt leadership over stepped their authority and begin to hurt people and this "exposed" them.

Then the government stepped in to bring change.

Also in China in 1989 when the Chinese were being criticize by the world for inhuman treatment of people, and so one day in June 1989 they demonstrated peacefully during a military parade where soldiers and their mechanized vehicles were being publicly displayed as they march and drove down the streets.

And a student stood in the way of a tank, and would not move, and a good journalist capture this on camera, and the person being run over by the tank. This was displayed internationally and the world forced the Chinese to make changes.

Another example was in Indonesia in the late 1990's where the leadership of the Jakarta was under the leadership of President Suharto and his entire family were inosculated and positioned in every chair of government.

The unemployment was rising and the currency Rupah was falling, and the government was corrupt and the leadership was not serving the best interest of the country or the people.

Because of this corruption in government four Trisakti University demonstrated and the government assassinated them in the streets before the people at the hands of the orders of the President Suharto.

The young Indonesian people and students then ask for Suharto and his entire leadership to step down, but they refused, so this let to widespread demonstrations and again the government hurt the people, and riots began where they actually were burning out the entire city, and the masses grew until this President and family all stepped down.

I DO NOT PROPOSE VIOLENCE, BUT THE point of these examples is that people are not made to live in corruption, and if the corruption is not addressed, it builds not just effecting a few in the community, but more and more as it builds until it gets so unbearable that people then say enough is enough, and then they take steps to bring the change as in each of these cases.

In our system of government and in Mooresville-Iredell County, there are protocols to bring change, but if the government corruption is involved in all areas of authority where only change can be brought, then there will be no change, and the corruption continues. Just like in Mooresville.

Therefore, it must be addressed by the outside.

1. People voicing their position town meetings, petitions, and marching peacefully in a picket line or demonstration. When it gets to demonstration then the situation is bad, and this is what happened in Mooresville.

2. The federal government can intervene with various agencies to investigate or bring arrest of individuals involved in the government corruption.

3. The media exposure via newspaper, internet "Gatton Report", or major television networks or cable networks that broadcast locally and nationally.

4. Religious leaders can bring great change. Look in history, many times it was a great religious leader who stepped up and stood in the face of corruption, and often lost their life for it, but it brought change.
Religious leaders can bring great change.

5. IMPEACHMENT as the blogger mentioned above.

There needs to be change and now. This is the time.

I hope nobody has to walk in the shoes of any persons who have been hurt by this kind of leadership as shared by the bloggers on this website.

There are many many good people in the Iredell County and
Mooresville area, and the people deserve better leadership, so it is time for these good people to join together and make their voice be heard, and then for...

One of you step forth and become the next new leader, Mayor, Town Manager, Asst. Town Manager, and then bring in someone from the outside to replace the Chief of Police and with this get new police officers with education in Criminal Justice; and for sure replace THE DA!

IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE!

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." (Martin Luther King, Jr.)

Sonny, you are riht, they not only locked up Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, but they also beat him, and then he was assassinated for his work.

You are riht as you say.

Only three that are big enough to stop the corruption.

God Almighty
Uncle Sam ( government, FBI, US State Attorney General's office etc..
Media (ABC, NBC, CBC, CNN, FOX)

People have no auspice or platform and all of these do, as well as man power and financial resources.

You are riht Sonny.

The clock keeps ticking away on this thing, and time is NOT on the side of the elected officials here. With every passing day they will have more to explain, especially if they can't produce emails and such proving that they stayed on top of the corrupt former police chief's case.

Sonny, it's not too late to go back to school. Weak minds are easy to fool. Don't believe everything you read by those who are enemies of the Chief. There are people out there with agendas against the Chief who can't wait for a little payback. The Dare cop that the Chief fired is connected to Jaime and God knows what kind of stories he told her. If you look deep enough, everyone has an agenda. Everyone.

8:18 A.M. you are living proof that there is no limit to how dumb a human being can get. Even my second grader could see that Sonny's pulling your leg and you fell for it in your eagerness to keep defending a corrupt loser like Crone. Of course at this point it would take somebody supremely dumb to even try to defend him, so you fit the bill pretty good I guess.

And furthermore, your talk of "agenda" this and "agenda" that has gotten so old that you ought to consider putting it in a museum. Can't you at least come up with a new schtik to sell your bull with?

8:18-EVERYONE has an agenda.....except SURELY not YOU!!! hahahahahahaha.......you crack me up.

I hear ya Sonny. Looks like we gotta go clean up the county now. the county now kinda reminds me of how Mooresville was before the cleanup started here.
