Hillary's Pit Stop in Mooresville
I just recently returned from Sen. Hillary Clinton's Get-Out-the-Vote event at Mooresville's N.C. Auto Racing Hall of Fame. It's not very often that a U.S. Presidential-hopeful comes to town. And regardless of which side of the political fence you fall on, it's more than interesting to witness such an event.

Only know of 2 other Presidential ties to the Mooresville area. I believe this is THE FIRST ever such visit. President James Knox Polk's Mother was from the Mount Ulla area as his Grandaddy was James Knox, one of the area's first settlers. Being from Pineville, Pres. Polk was no stranger to our neck of the woods, though that predates Mooresville's 1873 Founding. A little over 100 years ago Davidson was where President Woodrow Wilson was being schooled. There is local legend of his stopping the Presidential train in Davidson on a trip to Atlana and suprised the current occupant of his old dorm room.
But Hillary is the 1st to my knowledge to put Mooresville on the Presidential Campaign map.

Great photo Jaime. It's like something one would see on the cover page of all the heavy hitting magazines. Add photography to your list of talents right next to corruption busting and public official misconduct exposure!
I'd be smiling too if I knew I was going to raise taxes and spend a bunch of the money on myself and my campaign to amend the constitution so I could be the permanent dictator--then redistribute the wealth to all of the people and the only book allowed to be read would be "It Takes a Socialist," all the while Bill would be starting a chain of sexual therapy "salons," and Sandy Berger would become "National Security Shredder"... please someone wake me up from this nightmare! So much for history--this is the future... Great picture Jamie!
Hillary may have lost NC, but she finished 10 points over Obama in Iredell County. Gives me hope...
Mac Herring is reading 'The Gatton Report'. That may be more interesting than Hillary's visit.
