Another woman accuses Iredell deputy of sexual abuse

A third woman has stepped forward, accusing Iredell County Sheriff's Deputy Ben Jenkins of sexual abuse.

The woman - who called the sheriff's office in 2009 to report a domestic dispute with her husband - later decided she did not want her husband to be arrested but wanted deputies to make him stay somewhere else for the night, according to tonight's report on WSOC-TV. The woman - referred to as "Jane Doe 2" - said "Jenkins told her the only way that could happen is if she stripped down naked while he took pictures of her to prove that she had not been physically abused."

OK, hell would have frozen over before I would have disrobed in front of any man. Not to blame the victim here but ladies, next time, know that a female officer is supposed to be the person doing this IF anything this outrageous is required. This was sexual assualt, rape, whatever. It was criminal, period. If this guy isn't arrested or at least charged, someone up in Statesville has lost it.

Jenkins needs to be in a cage somewhere for the public safety. Nuff said. Redmond is the chief enabler. He should be in the cage with him.

THIS IS A CRIME!!!!!!! ARE YOU LISTENING IREDELL COUNTY GOVERNMENT????????

I am from NC where last week the state government, in Raleigh, where our own Rena Turner sponsored a bill that threatened the separation of church and state, where the state government tried to overthrown the Constitution of the United States, where they are trying to privatize Medicaid, where our governor refused money to help those who need healthcare the best. Yep, I am from NC, where few people would refuse to help you if you had a flat tire, if your house burned down, or if you needed support after a tragedy. So why are we all "sheeple" when it comes to protecting the reputation of our state? When one party, I don't care which one, has total control in Raleigh, there is going to be disaster. We need two parties to balance out the control that the other has to prevent this type of debacle and national humiliation? A state religion? Oh yea, that's going to bring in lots of jobs and workers, but only if they fall under the state religion. OH they say it is symbolic? Is it? Ask the Taliban. These people hate out country, hate our constitution and declaration and despise our liberties. They belong in the Taliban where they would fit in better. And let's not forget frakking. We are a hugely agricultural, dairy and poultry state. What happens when our groundwater is ruined? Where are the farmers who would stand up to stop this? Where have the strong TarHeel backbones gone?????? And we need to fear the people who should protect us? Where is that famous Tarheel integrity? (I know most of this doesn't belong, but I needed to vent)

You tell it 6:23. His actions were criminal, but Redmond does not do internal investigations.

Someday soon there will be a turn Redmond will pay soon dont give up Iredell county. Until that day comes the fight against them will continue. Our revenge will be the laughter of our children- Bobby Sands

If the DA's office thought there was sufficient evidence of a crime, charges would be filed.Lack of such charges may mean that there is insufficient evidence of a crime. Let's see what plays out in a civil trial. If this was a slam dunk there would have been criminal charges filed.

Backwoods Sheriffin' NOTHING to see here people, Now move on!!

Everything in Iredell County is corrupt. The good ole boy backwoods justice system. The courthouse is a huge money maker. Ever ask yourself why small time users are in jail and the big dealers get popped and the next day they are out doing business in the same place they got busted. We need to clean house in this county, Statesville from the mayor on down. The judges and all the officers of the court. An independent ethics investigation. An audit of all the books including the sheriffs department. All complaints against any of them investigated. Enough is enough. We live here and we pay the salaries. Start being a wall and quit being a doormat.
